EP63 – Edward Hemmings talks about training for students

Jan 11, 2021

Edward Hemmings took one day in March 2020 to translate the education offering at Alan D Hair into superbly successful online training. Wow! He tells Nicky Pope how the Covid Pandemic forced him to reassess the way his company works, and how social media – especially Tik Tok – has helped grow their reach massively. As creative director and head of education at Alan D – a company started by his father, hairdresser Alan Hemmings – Edward has a responsibility to ensure that hairdressing trainees and apprenticeships can continue to study and qualify. It’s not an easy task, but his approach and attitude is uplifting.

Throughout the lockdowns, you can visit the @alandlive for daily Look & Learn sessions open to all (3.30pm daily) plus join the weekly Student Assembly drop in to talk and share with other students – see Instagram @alandhair for details.
