The Murmuration: Candice McKay
Hairdresser Candice Mckay was inspired by the murmuration of starlings when making this film. An ambassador for Davines, she is passionate about safeguarding nature. She says, the geometric shape that the starlings form inspired the cuts and sectioning patterns of the colors in her work. The birds’ iridescent feathers, showing luminous colors that seem to change when seem from different angles. Her texturing techniques are inspired by the bird’s open wings, creating a harmonious effect between organic shapes and geometry. A film by Derrick Pitts
